You know, one of the smartest students I have met is Bernard. He has taken up the very kind offer of being able to use a “Level 3” horse to begin learning Horsemanship. Bernard is a mature gent and has not ridden for many years. He did not know much about IHI or the system of Natural Horsemanship, so found the ability to use a ‘trained’ horse an absolute ‘god send’. Here is something Brand New – IHI introduces a concept that may assist more people to progress their development faster and more safely than ever before. IHI now offers a service of horse development based along their Horsemanship Certificates.
This concept involves IHI taking and caring for your horse for an agreed time and developing them to a mutually agreed Certificate, so that your horse can now help you learn the skills and techniques in a shortened timeframe.
This means the time you spend practicing is relatively more effective, as you are now working on yourself and your horse is there helping you, rather than opposing you.
This also means that you do not have to spend so much time ‘confusing’ your horse because as you learn the process, he will already know it!

The benefits are not just limited to having a ‘trained’ horse, they include the fact that you can now get so much more from any course you attend, and most probably attend fewer courses, as you will raise your level of Horsemanship faster.

We believe this approach is not for everyone, some of you will want to stick at it yourself, no matter what, and we salute you for that.
